Job summary

Cardinal Health seeks a Senior Legal Counsel to serve as the primary legal partner to division leaders, drafting and negotiating commercial contracts and guiding risk mitigation for domestic and international business clients.

You will collaborate with Litigation, Privacy, Regulatory, and Compliance teams while advising on business strategy and day-to-day legal matters across the enterprise.

Qualifications

• Law degree with high academic achievement in undergrad and law school.
• Licensed to practice law.
• 5+ years in a large complex organization or nationally recognized law firm preferred.
• Commercial/transactional experience; healthcare law knowledge preferred.
• Strong written and oral communication; attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal and diplomacy skills; capable of influencing stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide proactive and pragmatic legal advice to contracting business clients.
• Draft and negotiate contracts and advise on risk and compliance.
• Interface with Litigation, Privacy, Regulatory, and Compliance teams.
• Assist division leaders and senior leadership on legal issues and strategy.
• Identify and implement process improvements for contract templates and workflows.
• Manage high-volume workloads and external counsel when needed.
• Support product, marketing and communications to ensure compliant messaging.
