Job summary

Cardinal Health is seeking a practical, business-focused Senior Counsel to support the At-Home Solutions portfolio, including DMEPOS, At-Home, and VeloCare. The role spans acquisition, integration, and transformation, providing day-to-day commercial legal advice on contracts, strategic relationships, and new services.

You will partner with Privacy, Marketing, Sourcing, Operations, Sales, and Regulatory teams to structure commercial arrangements, develop templates, and manage multiple matters

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school required.
• Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• Minimum of 5 years healthcare legal experience, with emphasis on DMEPOS, healthcare distribution, medical products, logistics, home-based care, pharmacy, or regulated business.
• Experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements.
• Experience advising on both customer- and vendor-facing commercial arrangements.
• Familiarity with healthcare fraud and abuse, privacy, billing and reimbursement, licensure laws.
• Practical, business-focused legal judgment with ability to address new models and complex operations.
• Strong relationship-building and client-service skills; able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day commercial legal support for At-Home Solutions businesses.
• Draft, review, and negotiate customer, supplier, vendor, manufacturer, distribution, services, tech, and strategic agreements.
• Counsel on contract risk, new services, and commercial models.
• Identify legal/compliance issues, communicate risks, and involve subject-matter experts as needed.
• Support strategic projects, integrations, technology implementations, and service launches.
• Collaborate with Privacy, Marketing, Sourcing, Operations, Sales, Regulatory, Compliance, and other teams.
• Develop and maintain contract templates, playbooks, and training to improve contracting speed and risk management.
• Manage multiple matters with timely, risk-aware support and escalation.
