Job summary

Baldwin & Shell Construction Company is seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead the Northwest Arkansas team, overseeing project execution from site start to finish.

The role reports to the General Superintendent and collaborates with Project Management to ensure safety, quality, and timely delivery of commercial construction, construction management, and design-build projects across Northwest Arkansas.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 15+ years of experience in a Superintendent role.
• 5+ years of commercial construction experience as a Superintendent on projects of at least $60M.
• Knowledge of local quality, safety, and health guidelines for construction job sites.
• Ability to read and adhere to labels, safety warnings, and guidelines.
• In-depth understanding of construction operations and processes.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communications skills.
• Self-driven, motivated and able to work independently.
• Strong organizational and time management skills and the ability to perform under pressure.
• Availability to work overtime, possibly including weekends.
• Able to pass a background check and pre-employment drug test.
• Arkansas Medical Marijuana Act 593 designates this as a safety-sensitive position.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise all job site activities.
• Keep track of project progress and budgets.
• Ensure compliance with safety, health, and quality standards.
• Supervise staff, provide work direction and constructive feedback.
• Order the appropriate equipment and arrange for regular maintenance.
• Resolve on-site issues and emergencies.
• Follow and enforce safety rules to maintain a safe and clean jobsite.
• Complete projects on time and on budget.
