Job summary

Baldwin & Shell Construction Company in Northwest Arkansas is seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead field operations from start to finish on commercial projects. The role reports to the General Superintendent and collaborates with Project Management to ensure successful delivery.

Responsibilities include directing all job site activities, tracking progress and budgets, enforcing safety standards, guiding staff, arranging equipment, handling on-site issues, and delivering projects on time

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 15+ years of experience as a Superintendent.
• 5+ years of commercial construction experience as a Superintendent on multiple projects of at least $60M.
• Knowledge of local quality, safety, and health guidelines for construction job sites.
• Ability to read and adhere to labels, safety warnings, and guidelines.
• In-depth understanding of construction operations and processes.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communications skills.
• Self-driven, able to work independently.
• Strong organizational and time management skills; able to work overtime, possibly weekends.
• Pass a background check and pre-employment drug test.
• This position is safety-sensitive per Arkansas law.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise all job site activities.
• Keep track of project progress and budgets.
• Ensure compliance with safety, health, and quality standards.
• Supervise staff, provide work direction and constructive feedback.
• Order the appropriate equipment and arrange for regular maintenance.
• Resolve on-site issues and emergencies.
• Follow and enforce safety rules and regulations to maintain a safe and clean jobsite.
• Complete projects on time and on budget.
