Job summary

MPI seeks an experienced Superintendent for ground-up and renovation commercial construction in Charlottesville, VA. Lead on-site operations, coordinate subcontractors, and drive schedule performance to deliver projects valued between $10M and $20M.

The candidate should have 10+ years in commercial construction, a proven record of $10M-$15M+ projects, and strong leadership, communication, and budgeting skills. Local relocation to Charlottesville preferred.

Qualifications

• The candidate has 10+ years of commercial construction experience.
• Proven experience leading ground-up projects valued at $10M-$15M+.
• Strong understanding of commercial methods, scheduling, and site management.
• Ability to lead teams, communicate effectively, and build relationships.
• Track record of delivering projects safely, on schedule, and within budget.

Responsibilities

• Direct all on-site construction activities from startup through closeout.
• Manage project schedules and ensure work progresses safely and on time.
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and field personnel.
• Partner with Project Managers to maintain budget, schedule, and quality.
• Lead daily site operations, safety meetings, and planning efforts.
• Monitor milestones and resolve field challenges proactively.
• Maintain project documentation, reports, and stakeholder communication.
• Ensure work complies with contract documents and company standards.
• Supervise Assistant Superintendents, Project Engineers, and field staff.
• Foster positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, and partners.
