Job summary

Michael Page is seeking a Superintendent for a well-established commercial general contractor serving interior renovations, SCIF, industrial, retail, and base building projects across the DMV. The role offers strong project ownership, exposure to diverse project types, and bonus potential.

You will lead site work, coordinate teams, enforce safety, and drive project execution across multiple sites in the DMV region, with regular travel to Manassas, VA for weekly meetings.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of construction experience in superintendent or field leadership roles.
• Experience managing commercial construction projects from start to finish.
• Strong scheduling, site coordination, safety, and quality control knowledge.
• Ability to manage subcontractors and maintain productive jobsite relationships.

Description

The Superintendent will be responsible for:

• Leading all on-site construction activities from mobilization through project completion.
• Coordinating subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and field personnel to maintain project schedules.
• Enforcing safety standards and quality control measures across all phases of construction.
• Managing daily site operations, logistics, and workforce planning.
• Ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with contract documents.
• Partnering closely with Project Managers and Project Engineers to drive project success.
• Overseeing commercial construction projects ranging from interior renovations and tenant improvements to large-scale industrial and base building developments.
• Maintaining project documentation using platforms such as Procore, PlanGrid, and Newforma.
• Attending weekly field operations meetings and collaborating with leadership on project execution strategies.

Profile

A successful Superintendent should have:

• 3+ years of construction experience with superintendent or field leadership responsibilities.
• Experience managing commercial construction projects from start to finish.
• Background in one or more of the following: base building, industrial, tilt-wall, warehouse, retail, K-12, office, healthcare, interiors, or tenant improvement projects.
• Strong understanding of scheduling, site coordination, construction safety, and quality control.
• Ability to manage subcontractors and maintain productive jobsite relationships.
• Familiarity with construction management software such as Procore, PlanGrid, or similar platforms.
• Must be willing to travel throughout the DMV region and attend weekly team meetings in Manassas, VA.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
