Job summary

Tiello seeks an experienced Superintendent to oversee commercial and industrial construction projects across Maricopa County, Phoenix, AZ. The role focuses on managing daily field operations, supervising subcontractors, and maintaining project schedules within budget and specifications.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in commercial/industrial supervision, strong civil/site experience, and proficiency in reading plans. OSHA certified, with a track record in safe, efficient project delivery.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Superintendent experience in commercial or industrial construction.
• Experience overseeing civil/site work.
• Proven ability to manage construction projects from start to finish.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, safety requirements, and building codes.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
• Experience managing subcontractors, crews, schedules, and field coordination.
• OSHA certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily field operations and supervise subcontractors, laborers, and other site personnel.
• Coordinate construction activities with the general contractor and project team.
• Maintain schedules and manage work sequencing, manpower, and site logistics.
• Review plans, specifications, submittals, and schedules.
• Coordinate material and equipment deliveries to prevent delays.
• Conduct site inspections to monitor progress and workmanship.
• Enforce OSHA requirements, building codes, and company safety policies.
• Lead regular safety meetings and address jobsite hazards.
• Resolve field issues and conflicts to keep projects moving.
• Communicate project status, challenges, and updates to project stakeholders.
• Support preconstruction tasks, including submittals, subcontracts, estimating, and scheduling.
• Price and manage change orders, coordinate execution, and issue change orders to subcontractors.
• Oversee work through completion and closeout
