Job summary

HC Company, Inc. is actively seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead commercial construction projects on-site with precision and accountability.

You will oversee field operations, coordinate subcontractors, manage schedules, and ensure safety and quality align with project specs. The role requires strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills, plus experience with ADA compliance and construction technology.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field.
• 6+ years of experience as a Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent in commercial construction.
• Proficiency in project management and scheduling software (MS Project, Procore, Bluebeam, MS Office).
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of ADA accessibility, jurisdictional compliance, and construction best practices.
• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and project teams.
• Proven experience in site layout, trade coordination, and construction technology.

Responsibilities

• Lead all on-site construction activities while upholding HC Company’s standards of quality and integrity.
• Supervise daily field operations, subcontractors, and labor to ensure safety, schedule, and budget compliance.
• Ensure superior QA/QC by verifying all installations and materials meet project specifications.
• Develop, maintain, and update project schedules, communicating progress with all stakeholders.
• Oversee site planning, layout, staging, and phasing for maximum efficiency.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols, conducting training and site audits.
• Coordinate material deliveries, subcontractor activities, and owner-supplied equipment to prevent delays.
• Manage project documentation, including RFIs, change orders, PCOs, and as-built drawings.
• Conduct site meetings and collaborate closely with Project Managers and Engineers to ensure smooth execution.
• Actively contribute to the Safety Committee and help refine companywide safety processes.
