Job summary

HC Company Inc. is seeking a Traveling Assistant Superintendent to support project teams across commercial construction sites. You will assist senior supers, help develop schedules, monitor safety, and travel to project sites as needed.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in commercial construction, a construction management degree or equivalent, and proficiency with Procore/Bluebeam/MS Project. This role offers growth into a Superintendent position with HC Company.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, or equivalent field experience preferred.
• 3-5 years of commercial construction experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role.
• Familiarity with project management and scheduling software (Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, MS Office).
• Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
• Understanding of construction means and methods, trade coordination, and safety requirements.
• A desire to learn, grow, and transition into a Superintendent role with HC Company.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Superintendent in coordinating all on-site construction activities.
• Support QA/QC by reviewing installations and verifying materials meet project specifications.
• Help develop and update project schedules, ensuring alignment with project goals.
• Assist in site planning, staging, and phasing for efficient project delivery.
• Monitor and enforce safety standards, participating in safety meetings and audits.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers regarding deliveries, logistics, and scheduling.
• Support in tracking RFIs, change orders, and project documentation.
• Ensure as-built drawings and reports are kept current under the direction of the Superintendent.
• Build strong relationships with project teams, subcontractors, and clients.
• Actively participate in the Safety Committee and promote HC Company's culture of safety.
