Job summary

HITT Contracting Inc in Washington, DC area seeks an experienced Commercial Construction Project Manager for advanced manufacturing projects. The PM will lead the project, coordinating budget, schedule, submittals, and communications to deliver on time and within scope.

The role requires 5+ years in commercial construction, strong leadership, and proficiency with ProCore and construction drawing reading. On-site work with a collaborative team environment is expected.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree preferred; in lieu of a degree, additional work experience is acceptable.
• 5+ years’ experience in commercial construction, including experience with a commercial general contractor.
• Experience in project management with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to master sector/project software systems: MS Office, ProCore, Adobe, BlueBeam, JD Edwards.
• Mastery of reading construction drawings and updating related documents.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety standards and ensure required documentation is filed.
• Create and manage project budget for all assigned projects.
• Develop and collaborate on pre-construction RFP package.
• Conduct project meetings, set milestones, and prepare monthly owner reports.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, and pay applications; approve changes.
• Perform scheduling and ensure quality control and logistics.
• Oversee closeout processes.
• Develop client relationships and discuss needs in relation to company services.
• Collaborate with superintendent and site operations team throughout the project life.
