Job summary

SDAC is seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Project Manager to lead office renovations, tenant improvements, and other commercial builds from planning through completion. The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, budget control, and timely delivery across cross-functional teams.

The ideal candidate will manage budgets, schedules, and procurement while coordinating with superintendents, architects, engineers, and owners to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of commercial construction experience, including end-to-end project leadership.
• Experience with commercial building construction, renovations, or tenant improvements.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specs, contracts, and schedules.
• Strong understanding of cost controls, procurement, and change management.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned projects from preconstruction and mobilization through closeout.
• Review plans, specifications, contracts, and scopes of work to identify requirements and issues.
• Develop and maintain project budgets, schedules, procurement plans, and cost forecasts.
• Coordinate with superintendents to plan staffing, equipment, materials, and daily field activities.
• Obtain and evaluate subcontractor and supplier proposals; develop scopes and coordinate subcontracts and POs.
• Manage submittals, RFIs, change orders, and other project documentation.
• Track costs and progress, resolve delays, and communicate risks to management.
• Serve as the primary project contact for clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
• Lead project meetings and maintain progress reports and action items.
• Coordinate permits, inspections, testing, and approvals.
• Monitor work quality and ensure compliance with plans and codes.
• Support safety requirements in coordination with field supervision.
