The Senior Project Manager is responsible for leading multiple commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout while ensuring exceptional client service, schedule performance, budget control, quality, and safety. This role serves as a strategic leader overseeing project teams, mentoring Project Managers and Project Engineers, and maintaining strong relationships with clients, architects, subcontractors, and company leadership.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead multiple projects simultaneously, ranging from tenant finish-outs and occupied renovations to complex commercial construction projects.
- Provide overall accountability for project financial performance, schedules, quality standards, and client satisfaction.
- Develop and execute project strategies that align with client expectations and company objectives.
- Oversee project kickoff meetings, planning sessions, and turnover meetings.
Client Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for owners, tenants, architects, and consultants.
- Build and maintain long-term client relationships that drive repeat business opportunities.
- Conduct regular project status meetings with clients and stakeholders.
- Proactively address project concerns and resolve issues before they impact schedules or budgets.
- Manage project budgets, forecasts, and profitability.
- Review and approve subcontractor agreements, purchase orders, and change orders.
- Monitor costs, identify risks, and implement corrective actions when necessary.
- Prepare and present monthly financial reports to executive leadership.
- Ensure accurate billing, collections, and project closeout documentation.
- Collaborate with Preconstruction and Estimating teams during project pursuit and planning phases
- Participate in value engineering exercises and constructability reviews.
- Assist in developing project schedules, logistics plans, and procurement strategies.
- Support presentations and interviews for prospective clients.
- Lead, mentor, and develop Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, Project Engineers, and Superintendents.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance team culture.
- Conduct performance reviews and support employee development initiatives.
- Coordinate staffing plans and resource allocation across projects.
Schedule & Quality Control
- Oversee project schedules and ensure milestone achievement.
- Identify schedule risks and implement recovery plans when necessary.
- Maintain high-quality standards throughout construction.
- Ensure project teams adhere to procedures and best practices.
Risk & Safety Management
- Promote a culture focused on safety and operational excellence.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety standards.
- Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Manage claims avoidance and dispute resolution efforts.
Qualifications
Required
- 8 to 10+ years of commercial construction experience
- Project leadership from preconstruction through closeout
- Budget, schedule, subcontractor, and client management responsibilities
- Experience w/commercial, new construction, with Office, Retail & Restaurant projects preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
- 5+ years managing multiple projects and project teams.
- Strong understanding of commercial construction means and methods.
- Proven experience managing project budgets exceeding $5M-$25M+ annually.
- Proficiency with Procore, Microsoft Project, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office.
Preferred
- Experience within the Dallas-Fort Worth construction market.
- Design-build and negotiated project experience.
