Job summary

OceanFirst Bank is seeking a senior construction lending professional to lead the loan portfolio and drive revenue through new business, cross-sell, and strong credit practices.

You will identify opportunities, manage complex clients, and collaborate across departments to ensure profitability while maintaining compliance with banking regulations. Excellent relationship-building skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Extensive sales, negotiation and relationship management experience.
• Proven ability to underwrite complex commercial real estate/investment loans.
• Strong knowledge of banking regulations governing commercial lending.

Responsibilities

• Drives construction loan portfolio revenue growth by identifying lending, deposit and fee opportunities.
• Develops new customer relationships with builders and developers.
• Maintains awareness of competitive landscape and expansion opportunities.
• Manages large, complex loan relationships.
• Collaborates with Branch Managers and other officers on loan originations.
• Leverages referral networks to source new clients and cross-sell services.
• Supports credit analysts and junior staff in skill development.
• Participates in community organizations in leadership roles.
• Ensures compliance with all Federal and State regulations.
