Atlantic Constructors, Inc. is seeking a Commercial Construction Estimator to prepare complete bids for HVAC/Sheet Metal and Plumbing on commercial projects. The role involves reviewing documents, obtaining subcontractor quotes, distributing plans, and coordinating scope with in-house trades.

Travel to site visits may be required. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in commercial construction, 3+ years in estimating, and strong Excel/Bluebeam skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in commercial construction and/or equivalent education/experience
• 3+ years estimating and pre-construction experience
• Proficiency with Autobid, Quote Soft, TSI, Estimation, Fast Pipe or equivalent estimating software
• Solid understanding of P&ID drawings and flow diagrams
• Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Bluebeam
• Knowledge of means and methods in construction for piping trades
• Experience providing budgets, value management ideas, schedules, and manpower projections
• Ability to meet critical deadlines
• Ability to multi-task with minimal supervision and follow instructions

Responsabilités

• Review construction documents, bid forms, and scope of work
• Solicit subcontractor and vendor quotations
• Distribute plans and addenda to subs via FTP or email
• Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits
• Coordinate scope between in-house trades
• Prepare take-offs for trade scopes using estimating system
• Enter costs into bid summaries
• Review take-offs and pricing for completeness
• Review sub and vendor quotations for compliance
• Develop rough draft scope for proposals
• Assist in procurement after project award
• Enter estimate into job cost control program and participate in turnover meetings
• Perform other duties as assigned
