Job summary

Atlantic Constructors, Inc. is seeking a Commercial Construction Estimator to prepare complete bids for HVAC/Sheet Metal and Plumbing projects. The role requires reviewing documents, soliciting subcontractor bids, and coordinating scope across trades to ensure complete coverage.

The right candidate will have 5+ years in commercial construction estimating, strong knowledge of P&ID drawings, and proficiency with Autobid as well as Excel and Bluebeam. Occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years in commercial construction estimating or equivalent.
• At least 3+ years of estimating/pre-construction experience.
• Proficiency with computer/software based estimating tools (Autobid, Quote Soft, TSI, Estimation, Fast Pipe or equivalents).
• Solid understanding of P&ID drawings and flow diagrams.
• Strong writing and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Bluebeam.

Responsibilities

• Review construction documents, bids, and scope of work.
• Solicit subcontractor and vendor quotations to ensure complete coverage.
• Distribute plans and specs to subs via FTP or email.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits; travel as needed.
• Coordinate scope across trades (Sheet Metal, Fire Protection, Plumbing, Electrical, Steel, Millwrights).
• Prepare rough draft scopes for proposals and manage post-award procurement.
• Enter estimates into cost-control system and support turnover with operations team.
