Job summary

Atlantic Constructors, Inc. is seeking a Special Projects Estimator to prepare detailed estimates for HVAC/Sheet Metal bids in the Virginia Beach area. You will review plans, solicit subcontractor quotes, and develop bid strategies under the Estimating Manager, aligning with project goals.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of trades estimating in commercial/industrial construction, 1+ year in estimating/pre-construction, and familiarity with Autobid/Quote Soft/TSI. Some travel may be required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years' trades estimating experience in commercial and/or industrial construction
• 1+ years' Estimating/Pre-Construction experience
• Knowledge of estimating software (Autobid, Quote Soft, TSI)
• Strong understanding of cost data and subcontractor pricing
• Proven ability to develop bid strategy and manage deadlines

Responsibilities

• Assemble estimates for projects from plans and specs through bid day
• Solicit subcontractor and vendor quotations for all scopes
• Review documents, bid instructions, and general conditions
• Develop rough scope of work and negotiate subcontracts
• Enter estimates into job cost systems and coordinate with operations
• Collaborate with team to ensure coverage and accuracy
• Meet deadlines and maintain high attention to detail
