Job summary

Atlantic Constructors, Inc. in Richmond, VA is seeking a Special Projects Estimator to prepare estimates for HVAC and sheet metal projects from plans to bid day.

Responsibilities include soliciting subs, reviewing documents, and developing bid strategies. Ideal candidates have 2+ years in trades estimating for commercial/industrial construction and 1+ year in estimating/pre-construction, with proficiency in Autobid, Quote Soft, TSI, and MS Office.

Qualifications

2+ years' trades estimating experience in commercial and/or industrial construction projects or equivalent combination of education and experience.
1+ years' Estimating/Pre-Construction experience.
Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC equipment; ability to train into estimating.

Responsibilities

Complete assembly of estimates for projects assigned, covering multiple trades, from plans to bid day.
Solicit subcontractor and vendor quotations for full coverage of scopes of work.
Review construction documents, bid instructions, scope of work and general conditions.
Distribute plans, specifications, and addenda to subcontractors and vendors.
