Job summary

Liberty Mutual is seeking a Claims Manager II for Commercial Casualty leadership. You will plan, organize, and direct the Excess claims team, delivering superior outcomes through workforce management, quality service, and use of data analytics. In-office requirements apply bi-monthly if within 50 miles of specified offices.

You will lead staff, drive collaboration with stakeholders, and monitor reserves, expenses, and performance across the office.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of Commercial Claims (Excess and Specialized, General Liability, Environmental, etc.).
• Experience directing work of others and implementing senior-level strategies.
• Strong planning, communication, diplomacy, and financial acumen.
• 7+ years of progressively responsible related work experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage team to handle complex, high‑exposure Excess claims per standards.
• Drive urgency, accountability, collaboration, and clear communication.
• Partner with Underwriting, Legal, Reinsurance, Brokers, and Insureds on strategy.
• Develop staff and build organizational capability through transformation.
