You will collaborate with Underwriting, Legal, and reinsurers, manage reserves and settlements within authority, and develop staff while driving continuous improvement across the office.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of Commercial Claims processes, investigations, and reserving.
• Proven ability to direct work of others and implement senior leader strategies.
• Strong communication, diplomacy, and business acumen.
• 7+ years of progressively responsible related work experience.

Responsibilities

• Manages team to ensure adequate resources and technical skills for complex, high‑exposure Excess claims.
• Drive a culture of urgency, accountability, collaboration, and clear communication.
• Partner with Underwriting, Legal, Reinsurance, Brokers, Insureds, and Counsel to align on claim strategy.
• Mentor and develop claims staff while addressing those not meeting expectations.
• Monitor reserves and approve expenses within authority; refer larger items.
• Prepare management reports analyzing office operations and trends.
