Job summary

FirstCall Mechanical seeks an experienced Commercial HVAC Chiller Technician in Asheville, NC. The role focuses on maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of air-cooled and centrifugal chillers, pumps, towers, and related equipment.

You will diagnose electrical, mechanical, and control issues, interpret wiring diagrams, and provide clear service reports. A valid EPA certification and OSHA 10 are required, with a strong mechanical aptitude and on-call flexibility.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver License w/acceptable driving record.
• Active EPA Certification.
• 5+ years’ of experience in a commercial HVAC setting with Chillers.
• OSHA 10 certification.
• Technical training in HVAC or Refrigeration.
• Available to work flexible hours and on-call shifts as needed.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repair of commercial chillers and related HVAC systems.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and electronic components.
• Inspect and test system components for operation, efficiency, and standards compliance.
• Assist in installing, retrofitting, and commissioning commercial chiller systems.
• Interpret blueprints and wiring diagrams to assess repairs.
• Provide on-site service and customer liaison to ensure satisfaction.
• Prepare and present detailed service reports to customers.
