Job summary

FirstCall Mechanical is seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC Chiller Technician to join our Macon team. The role focuses on maintenance, repair, and optimization of air-cooled and centrifugal chillers, pumps, cooling towers, and related systems.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in a commercial HVAC setting with chillers, an active EPA certification, and OSHA 10. A valid driver license and willingness to work on-call shifts are required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a commercial HVAC setting with chillers.
• Active EPA Certification.
• OSHA 10 certification.
• Technical training in HVAC or Refrigeration.
• Valid Driver License and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine, and unscheduled, maintenance and repair of commercial systems including air-cooled chillers, centrifugal chillers, pumps, cooling towers, air handler units, valves, fan coil units, variable air volume systems, etc
• Diagnose and repair of machine and equipment defects including electronic, mechanical, and electrical components related to these systems
• Inspect and test system components to ensure proper operation, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards
• Conduct preventive maintenance, repair, installation, general servicing, and troubleshooting of mechanical HVAC systems
• Assist in installing, retrofitting, and commissioning commercial chiller systems and related HVAC equipment
• Interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to assess and repair HVAC systems
• Service, troubleshoot, and repair commercial/industrial Chiller and Refrigeration Equipment
• Comfortable and knowledgeable in electrical including electrical components, timers, contactors, relays
• Adhere to safety protocols and comply with regulatory requirements related to HVAC and refrigeration systems
• Responsible for high levels of customer satisfaction through direct, on-site, customer interface
• Provide technical guidance and recommendations to clients regarding maintenance schedules, energy efficiency, and system improvement
• Prepare and present detailed service reports to customers
