Job summary

FirstCall Mechanical in Macon, GA is seeking a seasoned Commercial HVAC Chiller Technician to join our fast-growing team. The ideal candidate will have a can-do attitude and strong problem-solving skills, as well as an active EPA Certification.

We require 5+ years of experience in a commercial HVAC setting with chillers, OSHA 10, and a valid driver license; be prepared for on-call shifts and flexible hours as needed.

Qualifications

• Active EPA Certification required.
• 5+ years’ experience in a commercial HVAC setting with chillers.
• OSHA 10 certification.
• Technical training in HVAC or Refrigeration.
• Valid Driver License w/ acceptable driving record.
• Available to work flexible hours and on-call shifts.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and unscheduled maintenance and repair of commercial HVAC systems including chillers, pumps, cooling towers, air handlers, and related equipment.
• Diagnose and repair defects in electronic, mechanical, and electrical components.
• Inspect, test, and ensure proper operation, efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
• Install, retrofit, and commission commercial chiller systems and related HVAC equipment.
• Interpret blueprints and wiring diagrams to assess and repair HVAC systems.
• Provide on-site service, troubleshoot, and advise on maintenance schedules and energy efficiency.
