Job summary

AIR CONDITIONING INNOVATIVE SOLUTIONS in Houston, TX is seeking an experienced controls technician to service large commercial boiler systems. Qualifications

• 5+ years of service experience in repair, maintenance and operation of large commercial boilers and steam generation systems.
• High school diploma or equal education credit.
• Experience with Siemens, Honeywell, Fireye, Autoflame, and similar controls.
• Advanced combustion controls, including VFD, O2 Trim, Low NOx combustion.
• Valid driver's license.
• OSHA-10 certification (within six months from date of hire).
• Basic computer and building control systems knowledge.
• Ability to read blueprints, layout plans and wiring diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, and repair boiler systems and related mechanical equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair control systems, electrical circuitry, and fuel lines.
• Use combustion analyzers and test equipment to analyze systems.
• Perform calibrations and checks on instrumentation.
• Follow preventative maintenance schedules and document work.
• Monitor systems and perform safety inspections for EPA requirements.
• Assist with estimating time/material costs and with scope development.
