Tompkins Bank & Trust is seeking an experienced banking professional to join its commercial lending team. You will drive sales objectives, solicit new business, and provide direct service on deposits, loans, and related products. You will monitor performance and maintain a quality loan portfolio.

Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree and extensive experience in complex CRE/CI lending, with strong credit and communication skills essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree desirable.
• Seven-year (7) years of experience in complex commercial real estate lending and/or commercial & industrial loans management.

Responsibilities

• Work as an active member of the Company’s sales/services lending department.
• Solicit new business from present and prospective customers.
• Provide sales information for monthly and year-to-date reports.
• Monitor sales performance against objectives monthly.
• Maintain knowledge of commercial credit products to meet customer needs.
• Provide direct service for deposits, loans and other products; approve/reject loan applications within authority.
• Attend meetings to develop new business and leads.
• Detect, report, and monitor problematic credits.
• Maintain quality of own loan portfolio.
