Job summary

Tompkins Community Bank is seeking an experienced commercial lending professional to drive sales, manage a profitable loan portfolio, and provide direct service to corporate clients in Pennsylvania. You will establish annual sales objectives, solicit new business, and coordinate with lending and sales teams to meet growth targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree desirable.
• Seven years of experience in complex commercial real estate lending and/or commercial & industrial loans management in a financial institution.
• Formal credit experience required.
• Strong sales skills and expectation management.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with current technology.
• Good organizational skills, high accuracy, attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Act as an active member of the sales/services lending department and meet annual sales objectives.
• Solicit new business from existing and prospective customers.
• Provide timely sales information for monthly and YTD performance reports.
• Monitor sales performance against objectives monthly.
• Maintain knowledge of commercial credit products and services to identify customer needs and cross-sell.
• Provide direct service for deposits, loans and related services; approve or reject loan applications within authority.
• Assist customers with services from other departments as needed.
• Maintain knowledge of operating policies and loan documentation procedures.
• Represent the company at meetings to develop new business and gather leads.
• Ensure early detection and monitoring of troubled credits and quality of the loan portfolio.
