Job summary

Tompkins Bank & Trust seeks a Commercial Compliance Quality Assurance Manager to strengthen first line oversight for Commercial Lending risk, embed regulatory requirements, and support audit readiness. You will partner with lending, credit, operations, and risk teams to monitor, report, and remediate issues across the lending lifecycle.

The role emphasizes control effectiveness, issue remediation, training, and collaboration to uphold a strong compliance culture within a regulated banking

Qualifications

• Seven or more years in commercial lending, banking compliance, credit administration, or related risk roles.
• Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager certification preferred.
• Knowledge of commercial lending regulations and fair lending principles.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to travel occasionally within the bank footprint.

Responsibilities

• Regulatory compliance risk management for commercial lending processes, products, controls, and activities.
• Maintain and enhance first line control routines and remediation of findings.
• Monitor portfolio compliance via borrower financial information, covenant testing, annual reviews, and related reporting.
• Prepare status updates, risk assessments, control results, and escalation materials for management.
• Support regulatory change management and training to promote a compliant culture.
• Lead special initiatives and ad hoc assignments to address evolving business needs.
