Job summary

Chubb is seeking a Commercial Auto Claims Adjuster in Phoenix, AZ to handle auto claims including property damage and liability, with emphasis on timely investigations and accurate reserves. The role supports in-person and remote work and requires 2–4 years of Commercial Auto Claims experience along with a bachelor’s degree.

Full-time position with opportunities to collaborate with internal and external customers, and to work overtime during CAT events if needed.

Qualifications

• Full knowledge of commercial insurance contracts and investigation techniques.
• Ability to work effectively in-person and remotely.
• Curious mindset for investigating, evaluating, and interpreting information.
• Ability to manage multiple competing priorities (claims, calls, email, mail, texts).

Responsibilities

• Analyze first reports and promptly contact insured/claimants within hours.
• Evaluate contract language and identify coverage issues.
• Create an action plan for timely investigation and loss analysis.
• Maintain an active file diary to move files toward timely resolution.
• Establish accurate reserves within required timeframes.
• Refer appropriate files for recovery.
• Adhere to internal, statutory, and regulatory requirements.
• Identify potential fraudulent claims.
• Manage outside vendors' use and expenses.
• Evaluate claim facts and negotiate settlements.
• Develop and maintain relationships with customers.
• Serve as a resource to less experienced Examiners.
• Support surges and CAT operations including overtime nights weekends during CATs.
