Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass in Cleburne, TX is seeking an Auto Body Technician with 4–5 years of collision repair experience to join our team. You will assess and repair vehicles to pre-accident condition and contribute to speed, quality and customer excellence.

Key duties include planning repairs, estimating costs, dent repair, frame realignment, glass replacement, welding and painting. You will work with other shop technicians to meet KPIs and deliver WOW results.

Qualifications

• 4-5 years minimum collision auto body repair experience required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical program or apprenticeship preferred.
• Ability to read job orders and work with very little supervision.
• Ability to work with other repairers within an auto body shop.
• Thorough understanding of methods and procedures to repair vehicle bodies and use tools.

Responsibilities

• Plan the repair work that is necessary and prepares cost estimates for customers.
• Hammers out dents, dents and repairs with filler resins as needed and restores panels.
• Realigns car chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Removes damaged sections and replaces with new or aftermarket parts; glass and interiors as needed.
• Welds and attaches parts; prepares and repaints vehicles to factory specs.
• Inspects vehicles after repair to ensure quality and completes related duties as assigned.
