Strong negotiation and communication skills, plus experience in lending products, are essential. Candidates should have 4+ years in collections or related financial services, and a High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent).

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; 4+ years in collections, recovery, loan servicing, or related financial function.
• Equivalent education/experience considered; strong understanding of consumer/small business lending and credit cards.
• Clear written and verbal communication; ability to negotiate and manage multiple priorities.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and adapting to new systems/technology.

Responsibilities

• Manage collection and recovery activities on assigned accounts including delinquency and recovery situations.
• Evaluate performance and risk to recommend collection and recovery strategies.
• Prepare recommendations related to repossession, litigation, and charge-offs.
• Analyze delinquent accounts to determine short- and long-term recovery plans.
• Administer bankruptcy accounts including correspondence and court reporting.
• Communicate with borrowers about late payments, letters, repayment arrangements, and resolutions.
• Prepare monthly collection reports and actions to support portfolio performance.
• Monitor accounts to maintain delinquency levels and minimize loan losses.
• Ensure compliance with bank policies, security standards, and regulations; raise compliance concerns as needed.
