Job summary

Banner Bank in Washington state seeks a Senior Collections Specialist to support the consumer, small business and credit card portfolios. You’ll combine relationship management, problem-solving and analytical decision-making to navigate challenging financial situations while protecting portfolio performance.

You will evaluate accounts, coordinate recovery actions, communicate with borrowers, prepare reports, ensure regulatory compliance and contribute to loss mitigation.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• 4+ years in collections, recovery, loan servicing, or related financial services.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Manage collection and recovery activities on assigned accounts (consumer, small business, credit card).
• Evaluate performance and risk to guide collection strategies.
• Prepare recommendations on repossession, litigation, and other recovery actions.
• Communicate with borrowers on late payments, arrangements, and resolutions.
• Prepare monthly collection reports to support portfolio performance and loss mitigation.
• Ensure all activities comply with bank policies and regulatory requirements.
