Job summary

Banner Bank is seeking a Senior Collections Specialist in Spokane Valley, WA to help customers navigate challenging financial situations while protecting the bank’s lending portfolio. The role combines relationship management, problem-solving, and analytical decision-making to support successful collections and positive customer experiences.

You will manage complex delinquency cases, coordinate bankruptcy-related activities, and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
4+ years of experience in collections, recovery, loan servicing, or related financial services.
Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

Manage collection and recovery activities on consumer, small business, and credit card accounts, including complex delinquency situations.
Evaluate account performance and risk factors to recommend strategies.
Prepare recommendations related to repossession, litigation, and charge-offs.
Analyze delinquent accounts to determine recovery plans.
Communicate with borrowers regarding late payments and resolution options.
Prepare monthly collection reports to support portfolio performance.
