Job summary

Earnest is seeking a Collections Manager to build and scale the Personal Loans collections team in the US. You will lead supervisors and collectors, own delinquency-stage strategies, and manage third-party agencies while ensuring FDCPA and state regulatory compliance.

You’ll partner with Risk, Product, Legal, and Compliance to optimize outcomes. The role reports to the Head of Operations and focuses on metrics like roll rates, cure rates, and cost to collect, while evolving processes and tools

Qualifications

• 6+ years in consumer lending collections or loan servicing
• 3+ years in a people leadership role
• Experience managing third-party collection agencies
• Strong knowledge of FDCPA and state regulations
• Excellent cross-functional communication with Risk, Product, Legal, and Compliance

Responsibilities

• Build, hire, and lead Earnest’s Personal Loans collections team.
• Own execution of collections program across delinquency stages.
• Manage third-party collection agencies including onboarding and performance management.
• Own collections KPIs: roll rates, cure rates, cost to collect, right-party contact.
• Ensure compliance with FDCPA and state regs with Legal & Compliance support.
• Develop and evolve collections processes, SOPs, and tooling gaps across platforms.
