Job summary

Earnest is seeking a Senior Manager, Collections to lead the Personal Loans collections team, scale the function, and partner with Risk on strategy. You will own agency relationships, KPI reporting, and regulatory compliance across FDCPA and state laws.

This role is based in the US and reports to the Head of Operations. We are looking for 8+ years in consumer lending collections with 5+ years in a leadership role, and a track record of building scalable collections programs with data-driven

Qualifications

• 8+ years of consumer lending collections or loan servicing experience.
• 5+ years in a people leadership role with direct experience managing other leaders.
• Experience managing third-party collection agencies and driving performance.
• Strong knowledge of FDCPA and state regulatory requirements.
• Proven cross-functional communication with Risk, Product, Legal and Compliance.
• Experience building and scaling teams, processes and programs.

Responsibilities

• Build, hire, and lead Earnest’s Personal Loans collections team, including supervisors and collectors.
• Own the execution of our collections program across delinquency stages in partnership with Risk.
• Manage third-party collection agency relationships, onboarding, and performance.
• Own collections performance and reporting across key KPIs (roll rates, cure rates, cost to collect, right-party contact).
• Ensure compliance with FDCPA and state regulations, coordinating with Legal & Compliance.
• Develop and evolve collections processes, SOPs, and tooling improvements.
