Covenant Logistics is seeking a Collections Specialist II to monitor incoming payments and maintain accurate records. You will manage large receivables, update databases, and coordinate with multiple departments to ensure timely collections and proper documentation.

The role emphasizes strong attention to detail, excellent communication, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks while meeting deadlines within a fast-paced logistics environment.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required.
• 1 year of relevant work experience may be substituted for each year of education required.
• Higher education a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage and collect a minimum of $20 million to $40 million in receivables.
• Ensure timely collections of largest accounts with highest difficulty.
• Distribute division reports to executive management (over 45 reports).
• Research short pays daily or weekly by reviewing balance due reports and remittances.
• Maintain payment databases and Transportation Management Systems.
• Communicate with customers to arrange payment plans based on workflow.
• Record payments accurately in collections software.
• Update customer accounts in systems based on payments or contact info.
• Resolve customer disputes and propose adjustments.
• Reduce delinquency and provide weekly updates on accounts.
• Collaborate with sales, operations, and billing as needed.
• Respond to customer requests within 24 hours.
