Job summary

Jet HomeLoans is seeking a Collateral Manager in Jacksonville, FL to oversee receipt, imaging, storage, and tracking of closing packages, notes, and collateral documents. You will ensure compliance with collateral agreements and report on collateral positions.

You will lead collateral operations staff, coordinate with Secondary Marketing, Finance, Compliance, Risk, and Legal, and drive process improvements while managing risk and regulatory compliance, including Dodd-Frank and Basel III

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting, or a related field preferred, but not required.
• 3-5 years in Mortgage Lending, with at least 2 years in a managerial role focusing on post-closing or collateral.
• Proven leadership experience, with the ability to manage a team and collaborate across departments.
• Proficient in Encompass and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, financial software, and collateral management systems.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong understanding of mortgage legal documents (Mortgages, Notes, Riders, Allonges, etc.)
• Exceptional accuracy in auditing high – stakes documents
• Ability to meet strict, faced paced, deadline.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily tracking, transfer and shipping of original and eNotes to warehouse banks and document custodians.
• Review collateral documents for accuracy before shipping.
• Liaise with investors and warehouse banks to facilitate collateral.
• Ensure MERS registration within timing; knowledge of eNote helpful.
• Manage vault storage and reconciliations of documents.
• Communicate effectively to resolve exceptions with external partners.
• Maintain knowledge of investor guidelines and regulations.
• Supervise collateral operations staff and provide guidance.
• Oversee daily management, optimization, and reconciliation of collateral across multiple portfolios.
• Dispute resolution with legal teams and external parties as needed.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement for efficiency and accuracy.
• Develop, prepare, and distribute detailed reports on collateral positions, valuations, and trends.
