Job summary

Dream Finders Homes seeks a Collateral Manager to oversee the receipt, imaging, storage, and tracking of closing packages and collateral documents. You will ensure compliance with collateral agreements and manage reporting systems, coordinating with Secondary Marketing, Finance, Compliance/Risk and Legal.

Experience with hybrid closings including eNote and remote online notary (RON) closings is preferred. The role requires leadership of collateral operations staff and strong risk mitigation and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting or related field preferred, but not required.
• 3-5 years in Mortgage Lending with at least 2 years in a managerial role focusing on post-closing or collateral.
• Proven leadership experience with cross-department collaboration.
• Proficiency in Encompass and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Familiarity with mortgage legal documents (Mortgages, Notes, Riders, Allonges).

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily tracking, transfer and shipping of original and eNotes to warehouse banks and custodians.
• Review collateral documents for accuracy before shipping.
• Serve as primary contact for investors and warehouse banks.
• Ensure funded loans are registered in MERS; knowledge of eNote a plus.
• Manage secure storage and transfer of paper/eNotes; reconcile documents.
• Communicate effectively to resolve exceptions with external partners.
• Maintain knowledge of investor guidelines and regulations.
• Supervise collateral operations staff and provide guidance.
• Oversee collateral management across portfolios and reconciliations.
• Resolve disputes related to collateral with legal and external parties.
• Identify opportunities to improve collateral processes and efficiency.
• Develop and distribute reports on collateral positions, valuations and trends.
