Job summary

The Senior Collaboration Engineer at USC's Information Technology Services leads the administration and optimization of enterprise collaboration tools, including Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace. You will work in a small, collaborative team supporting USC's academic and administrative communities.

You'll design, implement, and troubleshoot tools, document configurations, and help stakeholders adopt best practices while maintaining security and service quality in a fully remote role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5 years of relevant experience in collaboration platforms and IT administration.
• Extensive experience designing, implementing, and troubleshooting Office 365, Google Suite, Confluence, JIRA, Dropbox, Qualtrics, or similar tools.
• Experience with Active Directory, LDAP, DNS, email routing, and related system tools.
• Ability to create and maintain technical documentation and automate tasks using PowerShell, Unix shell, or APIs.
• Excellent written and oral communication, with strong stakeholder engagement skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and align work with university objectives.

Responsibilities

• Integrate and support a broad range of collaboration tools across USC to boost productivity.
• Set priorities for collaboration projects and evaluate tool efficiency.
• Develop knowledge base articles, tutorials, and training resources.
• Collaborate with Cybersecurity and IT teams on access, risk, and policy.
• Maintain awareness of new collaboration technologies and best practices.
