You will code CPT, ICD-10-CM, and modifiers for cardiology, thoracic, vascular, and related procedures, identify documentation improvements, mentor staff, and support regulatory initiatives.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CPC certification required.
• 5+ years of relevant coding experience.

Responsibilities

• Code professional fee for complex physician services and perform quality reviews.
• Assign CPT, ICD-10-CM, and modifiers accurately per payer rules.
• Identify documentation improvement opportunities and collaborate with providers.
• Mentor lower-level coding staff and support revenue cycle initiatives.
• Apply coding guidelines including NCCI edits, split/shared services, and medical necessity.
