Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in an accredited HIM informatics program or two years of experience in lieu of degree.
• Five years of coding experience relevant to auditing (inpatient, outpatient, professional fee).
• Licenses/certifications: RHIT/RHIA/CCS for inpatient/outpatient; CPC for professional fee.
• English proficiency for safe, accurate communication in a clinical setting.

Responsibilities

• Interacts with coding team, HIM, physicians, IT, and business partners to ensure accuracy and adherence to guidelines.
• Participates in coding education in-services, education sessions, and meetings; shares knowledge with others.
