Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in a Commission on Accreditation in Health Informatics and Information Management accredited program required or equivalent experience.
• Five years of coding experience relevant to auditing inpatient, outpatient, or professional fee coding.
• RHIT, RHIA, CCS for inpatient/outpatient or CPC for professional fee are required.

Responsibilities

• Interact with coding team, HIM, physicians, IT, and other departments to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Provide feedback during coding education, meetings, and reviews to improve data quality.
• Assist with physician queries and CDMP guidance for DRG/APR-DRG assignments.
• Support quality reviews and data integrity efforts across coding and patient records.
