Qualifications

• Associate degree in Health Information Management or related field; knowledge of ICD-10, HCPCS, CPT, and HCC guidelines.
• 5+ years of professional coding experience including surgical procedures and 2+ years auditing/education.
• RHIT/RHIA/CCS/CPC certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Analyze coding and documentation for complex services; ensure CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS and payer guidelines compliance.
• Audit professional coders and providers for accuracy and alignment with guidelines.
• Identify risks in documentation and coding patterns related to compliance and revenue integrity.
• Provide actionable feedback to providers and leadership to improve coding quality.
• Develop and deliver education programs based on audits and regulatory updates.
• Train and onboard new audit and education staff.
• Maintain coding quality and productivity standards; complete audit/education workplans.
