Trinity Health is seeking a skilled Health Information professional to lead coding audits and education across clinical teams. You will apply ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS and HCC guidelines to improve documentation accuracy and revenue integrity, partnering with providers and coders to uphold regulatory standards.

This role requires 5+ years in coding, RHIT/RHIA/CCS/CPC credentials, and the ability to translate audit findings into practical training.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Health Information Management or related field; RHIT/RHIA/CCS/CPC required.
• Extensive knowledge of ICD-10, HCPCS, CPT, and HCC guidelines; medical terminology and payer policies.
• 5+ years of professional coding experience including surgical procedures; 2 years auditing/education.
• Certified coding credentials required (RHIT/RHIA/CCS/CPC).
• Nice-to-have credentials: CPMA, CRC, CDEO.

Responsabilités

• Provide high level technical expertise analyzing coding and documentation.
• Conduct comprehensive audits of professional coders and providers for accuracy and compliance.
• Analyze documentation patterns to identify risks related to compliance, revenue integrity, and regulatory requirements.
• Provide clear, actionable feedback to providers, coders, and leadership to improve documentation quality and coding accuracy.
• Develop and deliver targeted education and training programs based on audit findings and regulatory updates.
• Provide training and onboarding to new audit and education of colleagues and providers.
• Adhere to coding quality and productivity standards; maintain 95% accuracy; complete audit and education workplan.
