Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group is seeking a Compliance Coding Auditor-Educator to serve as the subject matter expert for CPT, ICD and HCC coding across IHA offices. You will lead audits, report results, and provide corrective educational guidance to staff and providers.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree and coding credentials (CPC or RHIT), with at least two years of experience in coding, reimbursement analysis, and medical record auditing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or RHIT is required; Certified Auditor of HIM designation preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of coding, reimbursement analysis, insurance issue resolution and medical record auditing experience; multi-specialty experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops and leads audit projects for medical record integrity.
• Reports audit results using a standard process.
• Identifies errors, investigates root causes and provides corrective education.
• Conducts one-on-one audit meetings and educates providers on CPT, ICD-10 and HCC coding.
• Maintains knowledge of insurance, CPT and diagnosis guidelines.
