Job summary

The position requires extensive fieldwork and may include evening or weekend events, with a 4/10 schedule from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's degree in public administration, urban planning or related field preferred.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience with a public agency as a code enforcement officer, including municipal enforcement, inspection, and investigation.
• Minimum of one (1) year in a supervisory, senior, or lead capacity role.
• Spanish-speaking bilingual skills are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate enforcement activities of Code Enforcement Inspectors.
• Perform complex field inspections of properties and enforce applicable codes.
• Coordinate, assign, and review inspection work and investigations.
• Provide supervision, training, and evaluation of personnel.
