Job summary

Sacramento County is seeking a Senior Code Enforcement Officer to lead, plan, schedule, and supervise staff responsible for nuisance abatement, blight control, substandard housing, zoning, and other hazardous conditions. This is a continuous filing exam with multiple cutoff dates.

Two years of full-time, paid experience employed by the County of Sacramento in the class of Code Enforcement Officer.
Or: combination of experience and education as specified (2a/2b) in the notice.
Or: three years of relevant public-sector experience in zoning, vehicle abatement, building inspection, or related activities.
Experience requirement notes: full-time paid experience unless volunteer is specified; pro-rating allowed for part-time work.

Responsibilities

Lead and train technical staff in complex enforcement projects.
Plan, coordinate, assign, and review work for accuracy and completeness.
Compile and analyze information for compliance investigations and case records.
Maintain cooperative relationships with community groups, agencies, and the public.
