Job summary

The City of Fort Worth is seeking a Senior Code Compliance Officer to lead, assign, review, and participate in complex field staff assignments within the Code Compliance Department. The Sr.

Code Compliance Officer will act as team leader within a field staff unit and/or perform specialized duties of a more complex nature within the department and will provide a leadership role in the investigation of complaints and enforcement of municipal codes, and zoning ordinances.

Qualifications

• 3 years of increasingly responsible experience enforcing municipal ordinances and codes.
• Possession of a State of Texas Code Enforcement Officer Certificate at time of hire.
• Candidate selected for hire must pass Pre-Employment Drug Screen, Physical, and Criminal Background check.

Responsibilities

• Leads, plans and participates in the work of Code Compliance Department staff assigned to investigate complaints, perform inspections, and facilitate abatement of ordinance violations.
• Reviews the work of field staff for accuracy, proper work methods, techniques and compliance with applicable standards and specifications.
• Performs more complex inspection and investigation duties as assigned.
• Prepares activity or summary reports specific to team productivity, complex cases or other special assignments.
