Job summary

The City of San Diego seeks a Senior Code Compliance Supervisor within the Fire-Rescue Department's Community Risk Reduction Division. The role oversees inspections, investigates code violations, issues notices and citations, and ensures compliance with municipal codes and regulations.

You will develop and implement enforcement strategies, review casework, prepare reports, and coordinate outreach to reduce illegal dumping.

Qualifications

• One year of full-time experience supervising personnel responsible for enforcing codes and ordinances.
• Valid California Class C Driver License at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise inspections and enforcement of municipal codes.
• Prepare reports, correspondence and casework aligned with department priorities.
• Design and oversee outreach programs to reduce illegal dumping.
• Handle council requests, citizen complaints, and participate in hearings.
• Analyze budgets and help develop enforcement strategies.
