Job summary

County of Marin seeks a Senior Code Compliance Specialist in its Building & Safety Division to handle complex enforcement cases related to health, safety, land use, and housing. The role requires coordinating with internal and external partners and presenting findings at hearings.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of zoning, environmental review, health, building and related areas.
• Ability to lead, train and review staff in code compliance activities.
• Strong communication and writing skills for public and hearings.

Responsibilities

• Address complex code enforcement cases related to health, safety, and land use.
• Prepare high-priority enforcement cases for hearings before Administrative Law or Superior Court judges.
• Administer citations and interact with internal/external departments to resolve enforcement issues.
• Provide lead direction and training to staff in the Code Compliance program.
