Job summary

Tom Trese Networking LLC is seeking a Senior CNC Setup Technician for a 3rd shift in Cedarburg, WI. This direct-hire role requires setting up, loading programs, and troubleshooting on multi-axis aluminum machining centers to produce high-precision die cast components.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 2+ years of tenure at each previous employer.
• Hands-on CNC setup or editing experience in a production environment, preferably aluminum machining or casting.
• Must read blueprints and interpret engineering drawings with precision measurement tools.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate multi-axis CNC mills and lathes to finish high-precision aluminum die cast components.
• Load G-code programs, adjust tool offsets, and modify processes to maintain tight tolerances.
• Diagnose surface finish defects and dimensional variations from tool wear or misalignment.
• Perform quality inspections with calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and CMM reports.
• Replace worn cutting tools and monitor tool life to minimize scrap and downtime.
• Maintain routine machine care, coolant management, and basic mechanical troubleshooting.
• Log production counts and quality metrics accurately.
