Job summary

Sora Resource Group is seeking a Senior CNC Setup Technician for multi-axis aluminum machining on the 3rd shift in Cedarburg, WI. This direct-hire, full-time role pays up to $41.00 per hour and offers a strong benefits package, 401(k) match, and opportunities for overtime and attendance-based PTO.

You will lead CNC setups, load programs, adjust offsets, and troubleshoot quality on high-precision aluminum cast components, while maintaining process records and supporting preventative maintenance.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated career stability with 2+ years at each previous employer.
• Able to read blueprints and interpret engineering drawings.
• Proficient in using precision hand inspection tools.
• Must reside within a 45-minute commute of Cedarburg, WI and be US-work authorized.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate multi-axis CNC mills and lathes to finish high-precision aluminum die cast components.
• Load G-code programs, adjust tool offsets, and modify processes to maintain tight tolerances.
• Troubleshoot surface finish defects and dimensional variations related to tooling or materials.
• Perform quality inspections with calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and CMM reports.
• Replace worn tools and conduct preventative maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Maintain accurate production counts and quality control records.
